BCE vs Rogers vs Telus
Ladies, rather than hurl insults at each other's totally annonymous screen names, I think a reality check is needed.
So the way I look at Canadian telcos is as follows:
ALL of them are losers. Losers, losers, losers.
BCEs market cap is the biggest [though Mirko is working on that for us] therefore BCE IS the biggest loser. I award a [close] second place to the pudgy trust fund babies running Rogers.
How I know [rather than surmise] that Canada's telcos ARE LOSERs is as follows:
You even "suggest" that the regulators are opening up a little competition up North and these guys already start panicking.
And this is from a very small handful of companies that "give it" to Canadian internet and phone users like no other companies on the globe.
Really look forward to what you divi-philes got to say bout dat.

NO your assumption is wrong. I think that if I were short BCE some of my comments could be construed as "pumping" or I guess in a short selling context "deflating". I think what I am is more of an advocate for NOT getting suckered into dividend payments...especially if those payments end up costing you TONs of your own capital.
