Globe & MailOne would expect that this would put an end to our recent lethargic SP. GLTA

07:33 AM EST, 02/08/2021 (MT Newswires) -- Bird Construction Inc. (BDT.TO) said on Monday that its subsidiary, Stuart Olson Industrial Product, was awarded a five-year contract valued at more than $550 million.

Stuart Olson will provide maintenance, repair and operations services for an industrial customer in Alberta.

Bird said the estimated related 2021 revenues will be recorded into its backlog in the first quarter of 2021, while the remaining value of the contract will be recorded in its pending backlog.

"One of the key pillars of our company's growth strategy is to continue to increase our recurring revenue streams as they reduce seasonality and provide good visibility over time," said Teri McKibbon, CEO of Bird.

"The announcement today further validates our Stuart Olson acquisition and exemplifies our strategic focus and commitment to deliver sustainable, profitable growth and build long-term shareholder value."
