Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). RE:RE:RE:BTE L2 9:20 - ALL LOOKS NORMAL?Nextlegup, Thanks for the heads-up!  It sounds like 3-D chess. I struggle with the pros playing 2-D chess. So I guess that they play with people's expectations. They create headlines and 2nd level corraboration to create a rally that they sell into. Then after the rally, down the sp goes again. They buy in again, rinse and repeat.

But at some point the fundamentals gotta trump these psychological games. I'm not a day trader so I focus on fundamentals and they look solid to me. For me, the hardest thing is trying to value oil&gas company assets, say 6 months from now. And that depends on hydrocarbon prices in a big way. I'm betting that they go up. That's my expectation based on the fundamentals that I understand so far.
