As for so called "naked shorting" i have also read that it regularly occurs in Canada and we are the "laughing stock " when it comes to enforcement...WHY?? its all about the current definition - something along the lines of "best effort" must be made to settle the lending out of shares and this has created basically a legal loophole that can be exploited in certain circumstances.. Bottom line : when is the last time that ANYONE has been prosecuted for NAKED short selling in CANADA??? dwdc
