jleer42, I read once that in the fine print of the contract that you made with your brokerage firm you gave them the permission to lend out your shares at no cost to them.
True?
My UnderStanding has ALWAYS BEEN that
ONLY
in a MARGIN Account
CAN the BROKER
Lend Out YOUR Shares to a Short Seller__As You HAVE Borrowed THEIR $$$$ to Buy Shares
With a
CASH Account

__THUS the Broker
Can
NOT
Lend Out
YOUR Shares__Much the SAME as Having a Share Certificate.
Could NOT Find My ORIGINAL Broker AGREEMENT to VERFY This.
