Russia was getting a little bit too cocky with money generated by western big oil.  The Russians started thinking that they were the Saudi's.  Mansion in NYC, London, French Riviera.   So what is the USA going to do about it?  The USA is going to bankrupt Russia is what the USA is going to do about it. 

Big mistake by Putin to invade Ukraine.  He showed his hand before he could be stopped.  The USA and western allies are going to supply arms to Ukraine until the Russian army is methodically wiped out.  Russia will have its nukes left but won't use them unless Putin absolutely losses his marbles.

Good for western oil producers in the longer term.

Mobilizing one million working men and sending them to the front line in Ukraine is going to be a disaster for Russia.  Winter is coming and they're going to be living in trenches with their supply lines cut off.  it's going to devastate the Russian oil industy. Alexander Ovechkin is such a good representative of Russian men.  He had lots of nationalistic tweets on Twitter
