RE:RE:Who wants to take a stab at this... If you look only at the investment in Merit, this was already a very good deal for all Merit shareholders except Burcon. With Burcon, the situation is different. Here the premium on the share price has to be earned first and this is shrinking day by day. Merit is not as successful as Burcon's share price has reflected. The production capacities are not yet fully utilised, doubts about the product benefits and the technology are arising, and expansion is questionable. At Burcon, another JV is questionable, Clarisoy seems worthless, the value of the patents is questionable, and there is no more talk of a move to a new research centre..... All this has been increasingly reflected in the share price in recent months.
