Who wants to take a stab at this...

Since we get SFA in terms of information from the old or new CEO and management at the company thought I'd open up a discussion amongst us investors.

Understanding this is an impossible question for most of us but am thinking someone out there with industry knowledge will know and be able offer some valuable knowledge.

What would the fair market valuation of BU assuming the Merit plant is at full capacity at phase 1.

Predicatably Summer puts fair value at $0.80 ....Capitalraiser aka Fundmanager aka Rocklobster says between $4 and $8 so call it $6...WIDE BUT AT LEAST WE HAVE A MARKET!! This excercise is for us shareholders, in absence of zero information from incredibly poor BU and Merit management, so lets get this discusion going ourselves.  Perhaps the SP here is a bargain at these levels ?...we wont ...more

If you look only at the investment in Merit, this was already a very good deal for all Merit shareholders except Burcon. With Burcon, the situation is different. Here the premium on the share price has to be earned first and this is shrinking day by day. Merit is not as successful as Burcon's share price has reflected. The production capacities are not yet fully utilised, doubts about the ...more

Summer001, you always ask others to back up their statements/financial projections, then you make a bunch of statements with no backup.  I ask you: 1.  "Production capacities [at Merit] are not yet fully utilized".  I heard that they were producing at around 85% capacity a month ago. That means 85% capacity less than 2 months after certification of the plant. That seems ...more

#DealOne: 1. Sales remain low (royalties), a large part has to be produced in stock 2. No update on clarisoy, although notified 15 months ago. No update on a new JV, although advised for Q3, Q4 2021. No update on Nestle for over 18 months. And see also point 1. 3. (i) you can produce more, but you can't sell it !!! 4. No or only very small insider purchases, although the share ...more

Note that I just asked for explanations. You don't have to convince me, I'm not a cheerleader. 1.  Do you know that sales are low? We saw royalties for Oct-Dec, 2021, but that was before full certification. Next reporting period will be Jan-March 2022. We had better see a significant increase in royalties for that period (post certification).  2.  This company has stumbled ...more

1. 001 was asked to give a proof for his points or a link or a source what did he do? he JUST REPEATED the points - so again as always and stated by many here: escaping a serious discussion - not worth to argue with - he is a bashing pro 2. your points are good but i do not believe that so much depends on the ceo - even Tergesen brought us Nestle and the JV with Merit - as far as i know it always ...more

When was this said exactly? "remember what was said by Burcon: if one "BIG PRODUCT" will use our proteins, even a maximum expanded plant of Merit will have the status of a demonstration plant" Summer is correct on the continued pathetic lack of information on the JV and potential new JV.  However, reasonings for his views never have any substantive analysis.
