RE:Good intel on Mack's start-up, thanksI'd be a little more conservative on estimates, but it's deifnitely possible what you're saying. If they could even minize the debt on the power plant from the recent bump in lumber prices, that would make this company infinitely more secure and stable. I would have almost no reservations at all at that point, as shutting down Mac during bad times wouldn't matter so much. They'd still be pumping out a profit from the power generation and wouldn't have interest payments on the existing debt.
West Fraser just put their numbers out and they were excellent! I believe analysts were expecting 19 cents a share and they beat it with around 70 cents a share. Amazing.
Conifex's Q2 will basically be a wash with MacKenzie curtailed the entire time, as you said the conference call should hopefully cover strategy going forward. That in my mind is what Ken will spend most of his time talking about. Depending on what he says, exciting times could be ahead for this company. Perhaps shareholders will finally start to see some cash being returned to them from business operations. There's definitely value in CFF's assets, management just now needs to manage the good times correclty so we don't get screwed over again whent he lumber cycle turns next.
