It practically pays for itself

Jimmy, $38.00 might do it.  Listen to your buddy, Glen Pilarino Clark.  You'd essentially get the rest of the company for only $13 million after you deduct the $1.3 billion of cash on hand and the duties on deposit with the U.S.  Quite the steal....

Your data implies that CFP would get 100% refund of the duties. Previously, they got 80% back and they will have to pay tax on it so your $878m should be more like $537m. Still at $38, Jimmy would get the 48% that he does not own at a very cheap price. Right now, CFP has started the NCIB at a slow pace.In the first 10 days of Nov. they bought back 284,800 shares at an avg. price of  $21.40 ...more

The point for Jimbo is that from here on out it's only gonna get more expensive for him to buy out the minority, because we all know the intrinsic value is much much higher than its current price. Pattison is kicking himself for being too cheap last time. Buy on any dip.
