No news is good news

I assume there are talks ongoing, or they would have said it is over. Maybe that is too optimistic?

Note RME being taken private today, up 25%...deals are still happening despite the covid, election, etc.

I'm sure the way we will find out is by high volume and a steady move up or down then a halt being as apparently not everyone is privy to the info at the same time. ..

Share price has held up well given the lack of update and general market downturn last week.  Next Wednesday they'll present Q2 and the buyout offer will come up in the analysts Q&A.  Perhaps they shed some light as to whether it's still an ongoing discussion.  Trump gets crushed tomorrow and the market breathes a sigh of relief and hopefully we at least tread water near ...more

I hope your scenario is the one that plays out. I would agree that the share price holding up despite a lack of an update is >probably< good news, insofar as a cancellation of any offer, even unannounced, would likely have brought on some selling. Still holding my stake.

Lol, that's quite the crystal ball you have there, just be careful what you wish for on the trump crushed part, Biden is an utter moron and much like their last election there is no good option, Biden will likely start a war somewhere so unless you are hoping that, that will be good for the economy I dont see how Biden has anything to offer, maybe his solar panel buildings will really fire ...more

If you think Trump is a good idea, please remember that, according the FSB (the successor organization to the KGB), Trump is considered to be a 'useful idiot'. Don't believe me? Here's the video. Operation Infektion has been going on since the 1970s, and has only been expanded under former KGB Colonel, Vladimir Putin: https://youtu.be/tR_6dibpDfo

I personally think they are both idiots, in fact they may both be worse then our own moron turdo. Its unfathomable yet almost comical that such a powerful highly populated country like the United states 380 million people and those 2 idiots are their options. Too much Lol.

LOL The NY Times! They have been covering for the communists since the 1930s. No doubt the Deep State Communists, of which the NYT is a member, are taking over after a massive farce of an election. But it ain't Trump. Trump was their last impediment to power in the US.

Sorry people... I had too many pages opened at once.. my last reply went to the wrong board..

I think talks are gonna be really really slow. My theory is the offer was made before the crash of the CHR stock price and is still valid though non binding. Thus they're not in a hurry to close. Does AC have anyone on the board since they hold such a large stake in Chorus ? if so they would know and it's probably not strategic. If not then it could be strategic. I mean the Husky ...more

I would agree with the first part, however if it were made in the midst of all this mess when it was actually made public you can be sure the offer is deeply discounted and loaded with conditions, this seems far more probable to me when you look at the volume and sp jump that occurred prior to the halt, that suggests to me the offer was just put in. that's just my opinion but who would buy a ...more

If AC were the bidder, it should take no time at all. AC has a market cap of $4.5 billion, vs $500 million for CHR, this is not a big transaction. Secondly, the two are intimately familiar with each other, it would be an extremely low risk combination from an operating point of view. My guess is still a financial bidder, who would not be as close to the company, and therefore would want more ...more
