Saw the news on my newsfeed. Really irks me that after they said on the conference call or md&a... can't recall which they are not pursuing leasing side growth with their capital this year then dilute and say portion of this could be used for leasing a few weeks later. Personally I think management could be more clear on their messaging to their stockholders. I have no skin in the game ...more

Of course we would all like bought deals to be priced at the absolute market high. However, this is unrealistic. The deal was likely agreed upon ahead of the surge in price these last 2 weeks. If we take out the last 11 trading days, $4.60 is an annual high. Aviation has been crushed during the last year and so far govenments have done diddly to help us. Let us not forget, prior to covid Chorus ...more

Baloney talk. This is a long term hold, not a flipper's stock. Most everyone here are dividend investors. If you want instant jackpot winnings, there are plenty out there you can roll the dice on. Good luck with that strategy, the money goes as fast as it comes.

Yes, who knows what happens to the stock in the next few days. But a year from now, people will look back and say at that time the pandemic was almost over, AC made Jazz its exclusive regional provider, the company strengthened its balance sheet, and the stock was for sale 10% off...what an opportunity it was!

2022-23 was always the recovery timeline for aviation post covid. With our governments slow to help the industry it's only prudent for the company to take action. Given that national travel will improve sooner than international, hopefully we see a return to some distributions within the year which will provide a leg up and make the wait more tolerable.

Everyone has their crystal ball. I've been buying CHR for past 8 months and still holding. Regional and domestic routes are coming back first. Deal with AC is rock solid. Leasing activity has been substantially increasing for competitors, and for CHR. AIMCO doesn't throw money at a dart board so their investment is a meaningful vote of confidence and something to consider. Bailout package ...more

I couldn't agree more with your evaluation. I would also bet on leasing returning to pre-pandemic levels by September.

Tommy You say the 6% debt was ridiculously high well that is a ridiculous statement.  The current debenture issued in 2019 was issued at 5.75% so 6% is a bargain in a Pandemic. Air Canada last debt issue was over 9% so the 6% was really a heck of a deal given conditions.

Yes it keeps dropping because the underwriters have $130 million  worth of securities to off-load on us.
Comment by YupnDump on Mar 18, 2021 2:51pm
the unloading of securities going to continue until mid april and it'll continue dropping due to lack of interest and poor management and lacklustre methods  of trying to ontain funds. l'm out..GLTA
