RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RBC Initiates overage with $3.50 PT - Globe and MailI beg to differ.

The first oilsands production increase will happen 1 week after Trudeau is re-elected. Thanks to increased crude by rail capacity, and to kenney who promised to do so.

More will follow by the time TMX is in operation. But that's a few years out.

That is sad reality.

One that need to be blended... well, it's an added cost. Condensate is more expensive and that eats into margins.

If they have enough refineries and upgraders in AB to take care of all the sour that will be great for everybody. Looks like Notley was on to something. Kenney doesn't have the vision to think that far ahead so I don't expect him to initiate anything. Now it's up to the producers to do what it takes to increase their margins.

I don't know what they do with the Fort Hills product but that thing has 4% sulfer.

Alberta still import condensate from te US so Arc drilling to expand their liquids starting to make sense to me. And at some point, oil sands production will start growing again and then we need a lot more condy (or upgraders). And maybe then they can reverse that condy pipeline and use to export Cdn oil.
