Should be trading at least 70$

Payout ratio around 40%. CFPS is around 5$.  Expected to grow to around 7$ by end of 2023. It should be trading at least 70$. Let it stay lower longer so that I can add more every month. How dumb are investors?

Makes more money than Apple per share and has better growth. But the price is less than 1/3rd of Apple.
Comment by SargeX on Feb 25, 2021 12:30pm
I'm not sure about that. Morningstar is pretty accurate with its fair value calculatins and they have fair value at $35.41. My wife & I are in for the long term but I think this correction isn't quite done yet. I suspect we'll see between $32 and 33 before it's all said and done. Ciao   Sarge

I believe you are short seller. You must be out of your mind. cfps is 5$. Multiply by 15 its 75. Cfps for 2023 will be 7$.
Comment by SargeX on Feb 25, 2021 6:05pm
Nope. My wife & I are long. I've actually never shorted a stock and never will. It really shows how far out of touch you are if you think a poster on Stockhouse can affect a share price. Of course, thinking this is worth $70 is showing that you are even further out of touch, That is totally ABSURD.   We'll see where the dust settles. Don't foget that CPX was under $33 ...more

I don't believe you. Based on free cash flow of 5$ per share, 75$ is a good price. https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/using-price-cash-flow-find-value-screen-week-2014-02-18

Hey Sargex Recently started a dividend portfolio and added a little of Cpx yesterday . Currently Telus Bns Td Pow Rei.un Bip.un Sru.un Aco.x Looking at smu.un Ema Enb Any thoughts on what I have or should look at tks Ed Ps I remember back in the late 80's? I had money in fix income , locked in at 10% for 5 years. Not saying we're going there but inflation is a concern

Hey Eddy Great to hear you're on the dividend train and your list looks like a great start. I like all of them other than ACO.X. I would prefer any of AQN, EMA, and FTS. (more to follow on that). For background, my wife & I are 100% TSX listed dividend income/growth retirees living off dividend income (ie: no fxed income or GICs). We base our holding size for each stock on % of total ...more

Hey Sarge Many thanks for your comments on the choices I made so far. Also thinking that buying in increments is not a bad idea as this market pull back may have another 5 to 10% to go. Did very much like the long term chart on Grt.un so bought a little today. Also a little of Dir.un and Ema. Still looking at Enb. Liking Telus over Bce because of Telus health, figure their growth may be better. Do ...more

Hey Eddy You're welcome. It was my pleasure. On the REIT side, i also really like DIR but mentioned GRT as I think it is a better buy here. Also, I really like NWH.UN. They just closed a share offering at $12.65 so I expect it to head back toawrds $13.25 in the next while. They have a great divy and continue to have great growth. I normally don't like a company issuing more shares but it ...more

You might look at EIT.UN...
Comment by Bagofhammers on Feb 27, 2021 12:24pm
I hold so many of the same that are being named here. Have EIT.UN As well as EIF, FN (flipped it from MIC once it popped on the buyout).
Comment by bubba9 on Feb 27, 2021 5:23pm
Add in some BPY.UN shortly..Maybe even a small bit of LBS....

Hey Sarge, I'm here too.  I think this correction is a product of two things    First there was a technical indicator for a drop to $35.20 about two weeks ago.  Second, CPX put out the press release about the impact of the Texas storm to some of their wind production.  I think the market has over done the impact. Add to this, the general market sentiment ...more

Hi, Dileas.  Could you explain your reasoning here, since YOUR yield will not change during SP increase?  Would you not, in fact, expect dividend increase to follow or lead the shares up?
Comment by dileas48s on Feb 27, 2021 11:43pm
Happy to share my perspective, as this is one key area where Sarge and I differ but I'm not suggesting I'm right and he's wrong it's just a different philosophy. 1) yes, in general it is reasonable to expect if the share price rises, the dividend will follow, or in some cases, vice versa.  Some are suggesting the price of CPX could almost double in the short term, because ...more

Hey Dil Nice to hear from you. Spot on with your CPX comments. I really doubt CPX is going to get to $70 in my life time. That was the "Canadian" poster's weird short term prediction.  I actually generally don't sell unless the current yield gets under 3% and even then, I think about it carefully. There has to be another good option first. Of course, if you are in the ...more

70$+ is fair value. It might not reach anytime soon. Simply Wallstreet has a valuation more than 100$
Comment by profitprophet1 on Feb 27, 2021 8:57pm
Simply Wallstreet is not a credible source of information. As just one concrete example they evaluated Trulieve once (at least) using Trulite numbers. I would caution you to treat the information with as much credence as you would a stock recommendation written on a washroom cubicle wall.
Comment by canadian on Feb 27, 2021 9:42pm
CPX has a cfps of 5$. My simple calculation = 5 x 100/7 = 70+ Cfps is supposed to increase to 7 by end of 2023
Comment by canadian on Feb 27, 2021 10:25pm
AQN cfps is around 1.35$ and trading at around 20. CPX cfps is around 5$ trading at 35. CPX cfps is 3.5 times AQN. Based on this CPX should be around 70$ without considering AQN is undervalued too
