Not exactly how it works.  Yes there are some assets but the debt far exceeds the value of the assets, the mine itself is not really worth anything at current or lower copper prices.  No one is going to take over the companies debt to get used mining equipment when you can just wait for the company to fail and get everything for pennies on the dollar.

The only hope is for higher copper prices.
