Call from broker re proxy vote

Just received a call from a broker asking if I had received the proxy information and if I had any questions. I said I had received the information and I had already voted my shares. She asked if I had voted as per management's recommendation. She sounded disappointed when I told her I voted against the plan.

rustyblades...you are obviously in at a much higher price or have no idea what you are doing. Problem is voting "no" is not going to get you back there. In fact a no vote will drive this stock to zero. A no vote will make this stock a no brainer to short. I don't hold CUS but would definitely short the stock on a no vote.

I doubt very much the stock will go to zero if the plan of arrangement is voted down. There is really no downside to voting NO. If the NO side wins, the CUS price may drop a bit but will recover over the next year as debt is paid down. Bear in mind that the TD Action List report on SPB says the transaction is accretive to SPB which is indirectly saying that CUS generates a lot of cash. If the YES ...more
