cve

Cve up 1.6% for the day.  Not bad. To the pumper below, congrats on your profit BUT cve has underperformed many OTHER oil stocks.  That is why I bought about 1 month ago. I am also looking at SU for the same reasons. So in a nutshell, your 250k profit could easily have been 1.5 million...Just saying

Thanks. We have now hedged our position with bear spreads we put on in the last few rallies  so even if this baby drops, no substantial losses possible here.

I guess it's better than selling and incurring huge Gain and have to pay HUGE TAXES.   I should have sold only 1/2 of my position last year and held the other half to sell this year.  It wouldn't help with the Taxes but ...more

Then again.... TAXES (RATES) are probably going to go through the roof.   Governments around the world are going to TAX TAX TAX everyone..... The USA already going around the world trying to make agreements on "Minimum Tax".    All just my opinion/view/thinking.

Hi raging bull We have a hedge on 13% of our position, lol and you don't even know what the spread on the hedge is? And you are making comments when you don't know what the hedge spread is ? Weird  since you are such a genius please explain how you would even understand how to hedge a position on common shares for a CREDIT  poat a message explaining how it's done. I can ...more

I don't Short, I don't play Options, I don't play the future market, I don't even play Commodities ETFs anymore.    I try to keep it very simple.  Just buy and sell common stocks.    Husky Preferreds were the first time I played Preferreds.... and I only have Warrants because of the Conversion to CVE.   I have a general idea of hedges, options... ...more

Let me guess, as I never done it before...    So, lets say CVE share price is $14.15 today.   How do you hedged and get a "Credit"?   I like to take things to the "extreem" to help me understand things I don't understand.... So, if there were options to sell CVE shares at $3.... NOBODY would want them right now. Anyone holding them would ...more
