I'm familiar with some of the tricks used by pharmaceutical companies to keep their monopoly on a certain drug, changing chiral centers is incredibly popular. You're the 2nd person to be offended by patant instead of patent, I will keep using patant because I believe you're smart enough to know what I'm talking about (please let me know if you disagree).
