Short selling could very well be the reason for 30% decline

fdfd,  however 2.5M is a lot!  If you compare the CXRX share price with the short interest on NASDAQ between Spetember 2015 and January 2016 it looks like an inverse and logical correlation between the October 21 LOW and the December 28 HIGH.  That is, there was only a 1 day short interest when CXRX was trading near $25 (not much expecteation that the SP would go lower), and the relatively high 5-6 day short interest in late December when CXR was trading near CDN  $58.

Changes to short positions are certainly something worth keeping an eye on for future direction, however this BS of stating short positions every 2 weeks plus another couple days to view is inadequate. A lot can happen in 2 weeks as we know. I have no issue with short selling per se, but the market manipulation that is used by the big boys is evil. We all saw the 100 share block trading as it gets ...more

Agree totally it's BS that NASDAQ waits 2 weeks plus a few days before releasing short positions. They have the numbers in realtime so why isn't that information released, if not in realtime, then at the end of each trading session? I'd like to know if it's available to big trading houses and brokerage firms.

Acutally there is daily short data available from most markets. The issue is that there is a lot of noise in this, many short transactions are part of regular trading or high frequency trading (e.g. buying shares and selling them short at the same time, no net short position). I have been working on cutting through this noise though to get a lower bound. By my calculation the short interest for ...more

Thanks. Please keep us posted on changes. Were you numbers for CXR, CXRX or both?
Comment by Marcel7 on Jan 25, 2016 10:17am
Sorry, should have been more specific. These numbers are only for CXRX as only US where FINRA provides daily short volume.
Comment by sunshine7 on Jan 25, 2016 11:23am
I found the daily report at: https://regsho.finra.org/regsho-Index.html ... having difficulty understanding how to compile total shorts I guess as the number seem smaller. Is this just daily activity or total positions as of the close?
Comment by Marcel7 on Jan 25, 2016 1:56pm
This is just daily short volume. To compile the total short you would need to pull the daily report for all markets (BATS in addition to NYSE and NASDAQ). Then you would need to establish a historical relationship between the ratio of short volume to total volume and previous short reported positions (so you need to pull a lot more), then use this relationship to estimate how the short volume ...more

there is no way that all the sellers at these $ 40sh level, have bought their shares below these levels and are taking profit, cant believe that, buy the way I am also frustrated with management, If they don't have enough people to address shareholders concerns they should hire more people, some would be very happy to have job for $ 50,000 a year, and answer your questions. They haven't ...more

These are mostly 'recycled' shares, trading used for the purpose of walking down the stock phishing for stop losses and weak hands. No telling how many other shares are actually participating.

Donnatal (wikipedia):  "Recent clinical trials showed that Donnatal was no more effective than plain antacid in relieving the symptoms of dyspepsia.[1][2] However, the active ingredients in Donnatal® have been shown to be more effective than placebo in treating moderately severe symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.[3] It is also a common component of a ...more

Now I'm not one to defend the CEO but OutperformRX,  you really don't know what you're talking about. Concordia IS the only specialized RX that can buy the rights specialized drugs world wide and CEO is making that point. Why would large pharma sell profitable drugs? Because they don't care about a $20 million revenue single product. They're in search of the big kill and ...more

OutperformRX:  "OK, I listen again and he says Concordia is only player that can buy products on the global market." Well now you mistaken. CEO said Concordia is the only SPECIALTY PHARMA company that can do what they do globally.  Novartis is not a specialty pharma company. It's at minute 6:57 in his CIBC presentation which you can listen to here: https://webcasts ...more

Your doctor needs to educate herself about the purpose of Donnatal, unless of course you misunderstood her. It is actually the H2 blockers that are being replaced... not Donnatal.       Donnatal is a medication that treats IBS. It is an effective treatment of intestinal irritation, constipation, cramps, spastic colon, pain associated with various stomach, intestinal, and ...more

If we get below $40, we are in trouble. It will be TIMBER. Market is flying and we are attached again to IBB. Frustration continues.

Thanks Sunshine7. It takes time and a lot of work to dig up stats that disprove the BS posted by certain members. Unfortunately from the looks of it it's those BS posts that readers are rewarding.

Investors are waiting for the bottom, cavinsin.  I would like to see stability before getting back in.  I would rather forfeit a little potential upside than try to time the bottom and lose even more.  Once a bottom is confirmed and we see some support and stability, the money will come back and we will begin our ascent.  There appears to be some short-term support at $40ish. & ...more
