Blackstone,Carlyle Walk Away.....

All of the trades that went through when this news hit should be cancelled because the halt came after.

The HALT happened because CXR dropped too fast in too short of a time. It triggered a circuit breaker. There is NO NEWS out yet. No news has been released.

Technically, he's right. No official release has come from either parties involved - only from third party sources.  At this point, it could be all smoke and mirrors. Stock is up to the 37ish dollar levels.  Still nothing official from CXR, CG, or BX.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think some investigation may have to take place.  I have a feeling a number of people got burned and based on the follow up article by CNBC, it appears the news came from a source close to the action.  If someone close to the companies tells a media outlet that a takeover is "imminent", that source publishes it, and the contrary happens, that sounds mildly criminal to me. My thoughts are, if you lost money because you believed that obviously fake buyout rumour, then you deserve to lose money. There were way too many signs this buyout was fake. Also, as I said many weeks ago, when there's really a buyout, you wake up one morning to learn about the done deal.

Buyout is not fake. They walked away. If it was fake, there would be not meeting.

Dude, you're still around showing your face? Wow. What about your gap? Was it filled? I think your voodoo doll is broken today.

Stop being an idiot. I meant the buyout attempt was not a fake. They went and met and didn't come to an agreement. I don't know why people on this board are saying the whole thing was a hoax.

Lattice what do you have against CXR and us? Also they do not have to disclose the offer to us. Often we see people in buyout talks and nothing comes out of it and we don't know what was offered.
