C&C Energia Ltd > Low volume?

Low volume?

I bought some CZE today for the following reasons:

a) It has a decent growth production profile

b) It is a Colombian play

c) It is really cheap at 5x current earnings

Does anyone know why there is such a generally low volume?

You sold CZE?  At these levels?  To buy what?   CZE is one of the cheapest light oil plays around.  And is just starting its most significant/high impact drilling campaign in its short history.   Could double or triple reserves this year.  All debt free, cashed up and self-funding.  CZE is a buy at current prices.   But volume remains pitiful.  CZE ...more

CaliforniaDreaming Your response made me laugh.   I agreed with everything you said but I saw it rise 25% in a short period of time and decided to take profit.  Since then it has gone up even more, but I do not regret my decision.  Taking some profit is just as important as buying low and I take my hat off to those who can do that better than me.  CZE is cheap based ...more

I can understand taking profits - congrats on a nice trade.  But to say CZE is high risk is far-fetched.   CZE is cheap on current production/cash flow metrics - one of the lowest around, so buying here offers excellent value (even though its up $3+ since the crazy summer/fall sell off.  Plus you are exposed to potential to double or triple reserves from self-funded production ...more

I too really like this story and while I don't have a position, the balance sheet and the potential is quite compelling. Nice little bump in the last couple of weeks. As I look at this stock a couple of things are concerning. As mentioned earlier this stock is very thinly traded and the lack of liquidity makes it difficult to get in or out. Well I bought back in today.  No I was not planning on the stock to drop so much but since it did on bad news, I took advantage.
