They shoulkd have kept and expanded D-Box seats at Cineworld and launched them at Regal instead of going all-in with 4DX.  Millions of dollars down the drain...

AMC might be on the line to buy back some theaters of Cineworld , CEO of D-BOX was in UK this week to discuss with AMC . Maybe some opportunities to expand. Owners of theater know the only way to compete  Netflix and Disney is to offer a value added experience like IMAX and D-BOX , post pandemic numbers showed that demand is there.

AMC inherited D-Box fitted screens with their acquisition of Starplex and Muvico cinemas a few years ago. Despite a relaunch event and the installation of Luxury D-Box seats in a few screens, in 2018-19 if I recall correctly, they still removed all their screens and no longer offer them.  They pulled them at least 1 year before the start of the pandemic if I'm not mistaken.
