RE:One year comparison of NAV and stock price
Yep...... that is what I don't like about those split shares. Nice to have smaller premium...but if you bought at $10.47 and now worth $ 8.77 +$1.20 dist. for past year, it means you are under by $0.50 for each share.
The best is to hold for long time or always buy a dip that will lower your cost. Personnaly I buy those split shares with money I won't need in the next 3 years or more. This way enough time to get distributions that will offset the "Overnight Offering" or market price reset.
I own some DFN,LBS,DGS,LCS with stock prices at profit from 5 to40%. The stock prices moves up pretty fast in positive market but drops even faster when market goes south.
Pretty funny, when I look at my history with those split shares.......I started buying 2000 LBS. Today I own 8000 at +10% stock price because I bought dips to keep my investment positive. Brompton and Quadravest have a great system to keep us addictive.....lol.......the only issue: because of the daily volume you need to plan getting out slowly.
