Hey MM, do you need a subscription to access the current shares outstanding info on Stockwatch? Could you kindly post the current levels for both the capital shares as well as the preferreds? Thx! I use the free TMX site, but their info is definitely either erroneous or dated and is of little use.

@AnEducator: If you go to the ceo.ca website... on the left hand side of the page, under the price chart is a button "Shorts"... you click on that, you get the same info for free.>> https://ceo.ca/dfn <<

Your post was very helpful, Inglewood. I could never access short positions on CEO.ca for the preferreds since they use unconventional symbology. This is certainly useful info. Thx again!

Yes this where SW really shines they continually updat4e Outstanding share counts. And as far as I can tell the imbalance has been growing. At the end of MAY there was only about 3 million share difference. ATM machine has been selling DFN commons at a huge premium, creating a new breed of losers...

Do you need to be a subscriber to access that info? I cannot for the life of me see any link for info on the number of shares outstanding. Can you provide some guidance? Much appreciated.

AS of today, DFN commons have 120, 012,152 shares OS and the DFN preferreds have 116, 016,652. SO hasnt changed much since JUNE 15 numbers... MAY 15 there was more than 4 million but doesnt appear the ATM machine has helped with the inequity between the 2 classes of the split fund shares.

So going back to the freebie ceo.ca site... Preferreds: share count is on the left hand of the page: https://ceo.ca/dfn-pr-a .Not super precise, but it states the shares outstanding as 120.01 million. Commons: same story, left hand of the page states it as 116.02 million. https://ceo.ca/dfn My pleasure to be of any assistance. I appreciate the updates you and MM provide.. big time!

That is actually opposite. There are 4 million MORE commons than preferreds out. Inglewood attached the numbers to wrong share class.
