Correction on DFN to JAN 04 , UNIT NAV =$15.18

I had forgot to update the % for SU and add in the dividend for BNS. So made a difference of 3 cents higher NAV..

This is driving me insane. How are you adjusting the value of a stock holding based on it's position on the "% of Net Assets"" list. Is it not essential to have the # of shares per holding or at least it's percentage.  Am I correct in saying the last Quadravest posted Portfolio Disclosure was the end of August and the last # of shares per Holding was the end of May 23? ...more

JimBo$$, The best way to construct your spreadsheet is simply to use the % weightings instead of the number of shares. If a holding moves up in the top 15, just increase it's weighting sufficiently so that it fits in to the correct spot. If it drops, decrease it's % weighting. We can never know, in real time, what the exact weighting truly is. It involves plenty of assumptions. When the ...more

You re right, semi- annual updates on the real % of each holding is just plain laziness. Brompton does their s every month. It is a  lot of guesswork doing the UNIT NAV estimates, and its amazing when we get it within a penny of the reported NAV by Quadravest.

Instead of laziness I see it as obfuscation.  Thank God for mouserman and aneducator to help us see into the black box.
