Back in again

maybe a bit too soon but nevertheless a good opportunity to ride up again to above $3. During the pandemic, the worst ever with Mike being closed we persisted and many bought more including myself.
The situation now are the nasty wars, dedollarisation and trillions debt positions and maybe recession
Those are bad and I hope the leadership has enough intelligence to get us all through and the perpetual optimism in me think we should as the alternative is doom and gloom
The yield here is approaching 10% ... the mortgage rates are getting to 8% ... bond yield are 5% ... looks like everything going up in tandem ...looks like the early 90s again when mortgage rates were 12% and properties value went sideways for 10 neither here nor there
DIV royalties however are spread out within our economy..life goes on ... people will continue to live spend educate drive eat clean stay healthy like what DIV invests in ...
I am cautiously optimistic with DIV ...glta

From 5i Research: Diversified Royalty Corp. (DIV) Q: please comment of DIV acquisition announced after close today oct 4   Asked by howard on October 05, 2023   5I RESEARCH ANSWER:   The $72M acquisition of BarBurrito looks good, but is also a fairly standard type of deal for DIV. The dividend increases 2.1%. The royalty deal adds $8.3M in revenue plus fees, for ...more

I have not heard of BarBurrito until I intended to reinvest again in DIV. And what do you know there is one in Oakville Place and I have checked that their food selections are wholesome and very affordable...understandablely many restaurants are having difficulties with 20% or 25% or 30% tips requests coupled with higher minimum wages and inflationary costs ... so BarBurrito fits the right market ...more

Interesting anecdotal evidence. We used to order from Quesada every couple of weeks, but my 18 year old son much prefers Barburrito - its the way they cook the ground beef, apparently. Anyway, we started ordering from there instead ... the week before this new deal. Hopefully this is repeated all across Canada!

I've never had BarBarrito myself but I also don't explore food too often... I was down for Burrito Boyz (Toronto area people will know) for a year or so before I was introduced to Chipolte when they only had 2 locations in Toronto, and like the previous poster mentioned it was the meat that converted me, I liked steak chunks more than a watery ground beef... The Burrito world is getting ...more

I love Mr. Mike's.    They have a great lounge here in Regina.  They do live music on Thursday nights and you can get a Keg steak minus the Keg prices.   They also have a great app that you put on your phone and earn reward points.  I pay my bill  right on my phone and use my points to reduce the cost.    Little Doe wine is also reasonable and ...more

I have been looking up BarBurrito locations now when I am traveling and I find one common theme...lot's of young people eating there and very busy restaurants.   I think this was a good deal.    Can't argue with foot traffic!

Yeah why not $2. $2 is better than $2.42 ...heck it is better than $2.80 the recent bought deal ...  why not $1.90 ...gosh $1.85 is even better .... essentially it is a question of potential profit ..buy at $2.42 and sell at $3.42 or buy at $2 and sell at $3 ...or whatever your plan ...it is basically same potential profit targeted…you trust your own analysis and understand that the ...more
