Monday..Sept.28/20..Mssr.Lavoie hearing to overturn MB..

law on growing weed for personal use at home...about time no doubt. He has a gofundme page to help with the legal costs...not that DN shareholders would really want to support him financially(to each our own) but would DN shareholders support his "rights", that the Fed's under Trudeau have given to every Cdn adult citizen and held back by MB law makers?(Reminds me of that old saying,Do as I say but not as I do...as a way to set policy.)

I would have to believe any change in MB's law will affect sales on the ground,short-term only....as most prov's owned cannabis outlets have enjoyed great sales to help gov't coffers...and those provinces have allowed personal home grown ops for the last 2 yrs.  The document was dated Aug.26/20  glta

**** 0.475 or 0.48 cts seems like a good support level...to begin another leg.

If manitoba were to allow home growing this stocks retail numbers will be useless. Imagine all the people that could grow 3 plants and get 3 pounds every 3 months the streets would be flooded with people giving the stuff away or selling it for nothing. Not allowing home growing is the only reason our retail numbers are so great. Fingers crossed that never gets approved.

That is utter nonsense! You are free to grow tomatoes, but I'll bet you still buy your ketchup from the store! Growing cannabis is time consuming and difficult. To do it well requires experience, equipment, space and time. I am currently fighting off aphids from my 2 plants, and continue to happily buy a great product for good prices from D9. Next time you buy some beer or wine from the ...more

That would not make one bit of difference. Everyone thinks there a master pot farmer it's hillarious.

I disagree. I think most that would home grow are already doing it. I see it more like the home brewing craze of the 90s. Seemed like everyone was doing it for awhile, now none of the people I know are still brewing. Also I think people are interested in variety and trying different strains. Some very good strains can be very difficult to grow. Edibles are a whole other story. Home grown/made can ...more

I don't always see eye to eye with Anschutz but I agree especially with retail prices comjng down. A small segment of the consumer population is interested in growing.

Man, great discussion on a great topic. I live in a semi-remote area of Manitoba and have a serious issue with MB's stance on home growing, to the point that it could just as well have been me making headlines with a go-fund-me campaign. I have literally decades of home growing experience and I can attest that I still have trouble staying on top of things to consistently get any decent ...more
