The original units used in the early pilot programs were poorly designed. Vehicles parked overnight in the winter would freeze and take up to 4 hours to thaw out. So ng for school buses, city vehicles etc. I suggested years ago that they incorporate a common 120 v block or space heater to avoid the problem. When I asked the question on a live Q&A, Jim denied that there were was a freezing ...more
