I think they were caught by the downturn started 2014. I agree that they were neither wise management, nor were trying hard to turn things around. They just kept their own salary without considering that they should have reduced their salaries some what in proportion with the reduction of revenue. Without pegging their salaries with the performance of the company, it is hard to be motivated.
