Oil Capex Growth

"Canada’s biggest producers are responding to a rally in crude and natural gas prices by raising expenditure in 2022 to squeeze more barrels out of existing assets."

https://www.reuters.com/article/imperial-oil-outlook/update-2-imperial-oil-expects-higher-2022-capex-as-commodity-prices-recover-idUSL4N2T22WN

Compare to where we were last year.

- Oil is nearly 50% higher,
- Capex Spending Growth Increasing
- Reduced Float through Buyback, insider buys, Niellson.

What exactly are you hoping to see? A PR referencing CAPEX growth? i think all services companies are getting a good boost so far.

Seriously!!!! In the past Enterprise had press releases disclosing new contracts with large prominent clients. Over the past 3+ years they report only quarterly and annual required financial information. On the web site their corporate plan is to be western Canadas largest renter of specialized equipment. Reporting new contracts, if any would go along ways reestablishing some credibility ...more

and 7 years ago the so called experts were saying over $200 a barrel, companies took on massive debt to expand production, and how do that work out? Couple of years ago experts were saying multiple $000's for gold, Las Vegas had vending machines at the airport so folk could buy gold it was so hot, how did that work out? They have no clue theyjust buy in ,pump, pump, pump some more then get out

Experts lie. Chart doesn't. Always verify their words by the charts.

they are speculators and day traders not so called experts that make these rediculous predictions. remember test the source of information especially when spending your own money

Biggest thing is ego, don't assume if you buy at $2 and it goes to $5 you are smart, take some off the table maybe enough to reduce your cost to $1, for me if it goes up more i sell enough to hold the rest of my shares at no cost, yes i know if it keeps going up i don't make as much but now my ACB is still $2 so if it goes wrong i have spent nothing AND i have a tax loss. Remember don' ...more

Right now there's crazy high oil price predictions on Wall Street north of $100. But the CURRENT prices will lead to a uptick in revenues. Combine with a shrinking float and more insider buys could be setting stock up for a massive rally. This and suncor are my main sector positions.

I have thought for awhile now that O&G stocks could be the new financial stocks from 2008-09, a lot of them went broke the rest butchered but anyone with enough b-lls to step in got very rich, i don't see this massive push to no fossil fuels working as quickly or easily as thought
Comment by byloselhir on Jan 02, 2022 10:31am
or be smart and do the opposite! Two or three years ago on bnn all the experts, all the infomercials were marijuana stocks, how did that work out? Last year everything was crypto, how has that done lately? I understand it his very high returns for those lucky enough to get it early and get out, the problem is most have too big of an ego to know it was luck and get out they tell everyone how smart ...more
