Cash or swap?
Over the years there have been many estimates given on here as to the market value of EDT given the value of its current/pending approvals, sales estimates, shares o/s, etc. These valuations (at least in my mind) were based on a cash payout based on the outright purchase of EDT by a large suitor such as Baxter or DaVita. Is this realistic or would the suitor simply swap shares? In the event of a stock swap, would the purchase value tend to be higher, simply because cash is king, and what would the premium be for a stock swap vs cash given a fair market value for EDT?

Doing some quicky math, one Baxter share for every ten EDT shares seems about right. ; - )

I'm confident that your proposed swap would easily pass especially with the current reluctance to pay 30 cents/share

Dom and Pez - you made me look so here goes. Baxter shares trading at close to US$80 each or $100 Cdn equivalent. Pez says 10 Spectrals per 1 Baxter so $10 Cdn per Spectral share. That's always been around the value I had for Spectral. So I'd have to agree with you gents.

AP- I'd be happy with $10. Right now we are looking upwards 10% to 32 the cent option grant so I'm pretty confident that everyone else would as well.

$10 ????? I'd be happy with $2 and getting away clean at this point.

I've got to believe that was some April Fools joking. But maybe Dom actually believes that DaVita is interested enough to hand out 2B for DIMI- but not interested enough to make a couple dialysis techs available for 6 weeks for the tiny 35 person trial...

Wrong again HMMM. I'm thinking 1 Bil for all of Dialco. Maybe Davita or perhaps someone else.
