RE:RE:RE:RE:Teranga reported highest quarterly output. Maybe some of you saw the little thing about Agnico Eagle in Kitco. So I got curious to compare to EDV. And this would be post Teranga merger EDV.
EDV Agnico Eagle
Production 2021 1.7 m oz ( my guess ) 1.7m oz their projection
AISC $900 $1000
Debt or cash position plus $250 m by mid year (mercedsman) * see below
Market Cap $7.5 bil C (260 m shares post $22 bil C
merger, todays share price)
Dividend 1.6% 2%
So the thing of note of course is that Agnico has a market cap three times EDV. Now there might be other factors, I didn't look at Agnico closely or much at all. I do know that EDV has about a dozen projects coming up , one soon (Fedekro) that should push production to 2 m oz per year.
My conclusion is that gold miners in general are undervalued, and EDV leads the pack in that undervaluing.
* Agnico has a terrible website and I got bored (quickly for sure) with trying to find their cash position, I did find something about them having big debt $1.38 bil US at start of last year.
And mercedesman: $40 - 45 takeout by Barrick would be ok with me if it were US $ ! Or close to sixty Canadian.
