https://www.mining.com/teranga-exceeds-guidance-achieves-record-production-for-5th-straight-year/ >400,000 oz. With that we should now easily (and officially) be running at over 1M oz once merger completed. Can you say cash machine?  Only better - instead of fiat currency - it's real money (i.e. gold)  that holds its value over time ! MM

It's 1Moz p.a. from the Semafo merger alone. Teranga takes us to 1.5Moz p.a. (with TGZ's 2021 anticipated output). EDV Q3 was almost 0.25Moz - and that was without Boungou being ramped up. Q4 should easily be over 0.25Moz.

Sorry. yes you are correct completely forgot to include the Semafo oz's  They are absorbing so much so quickly that they are well on their way to 2 M oz's !  and they have lots of oz yet to discover ( organic) and many smaller explorers in west Africa that could easily be absorbed by the machine.  Best be careful that Barrick doesn't come back into the ...more

Not too worried about a premature bid. We have the protection of major shareholders La Mancha and Tablo who, I'm sure, wouldn't sell out on the cheap..They know exactly what EDV is worth. One thing to note: on the last call management were asked whether they intended to push beyond the 1.5Moz production level and they were a bit negative on that. I think they're looking more to ...more

I agree that nobody with EDV would be interested in a takeout of EDV, unless the price was maybe triple what it is now, which wont happen.   Continuing with my comparison thing, and do realize it is a very incomplete comparison, lets look at Barrick Gold.  So Barrick produced 4.8 mil oz in 2020.  It has an AISC similiar to EDV, a dividend of .68% at todays share price, no ...more

The one to watch IMO, is Yamana. Recently London listed and will be a great comparator for investors on the LSE, when EDV gets its London listing. EDV ought to trade at a premium to Yamana's valuation, as it will have a "premium listing" and may join the FTSE100, whereas Yamana only has a "standard listing" and hence cannot join the FTSE100. I haven't done a side-by ...more
