RE:micro vs. macroI have been driving a Chevy Volt since 2013. When it was 5 years old GM gave me free communications with their OnStar so they could get battery data. They needed data for warranty purposes. About a year later the check engine light came on. I took it in to be checked and said "Please don't tell me it is the battery". "It's the battery". Actually one of three battery packs had a bad cell. GM replaced it free of charge. I am still runnung it, going back and forth to town with 111 mpg lifetime average. I charge at home during the daytime hours because my home electricity comes from the Sun.
As for ELVA they are making money with a positive cash flow. They will progress as demand increases. If demand dries up then they will still be able to survive. Looking good, just taking longer that we all would like.
