Canadas biggest threat besides arctic sovereignty is a water grab by the states. Unfortunately the whole mountain chain from Colorado to Jasper is losing glaciers. When the Colorado goes drain along with the Ogalala acquirer goes dry watch out. In university in the early seventies in engineering we studied NAWAPA which was the north american water and power authority. It proposed diverting the Peace and athabasca rivers down the rocky mountain trench flooding Cranbrook and Golden BC. My point is California as we know it is screwed. Again sorry for ranting.
I've heard nonsense like this viz., the coming U.S. water grab, for the past 20 years. In the meanwhile, California has achieved a lot with water conservation and new sources of water such as desalination plants. Paranoid much? See a shrink.
Wow!!!!
Perhaps you should stay in California.....they need as many people as possible who like it there to stay since so many people are leaving the state.
One word of advice...make sure you have COVID insurance....you will need it .....
Actually, the Covid situation isn't that bad in California at the moment. I would be more concerned about visiting Ontario or Quebec. Gavin Newsome is smart enough to put limitations on what can and can't be open. I can't say the same for some of the GOP governors in the U.S. like Rick Desantis of Florida. Regarding California's population, it is actually growing mostly due to international immigration, although there has been a loss of domestic nationals to other states. If they are Trump supporters, they won't be missed.
