FactsWell, we all know that politicians love to get in front of cameras and brag about themselves and their successes. The big absentee on the news channels in Detroit / MI was the governor. This was at a time where I was expecting to see her face front and central ... next to Biden, talking about infrastructure, energy independence and dodge questions about her trip to Florida mess and about a possible James Craig candidancy on behalf of the rep party in next year's election.
Even more important, there was no mention of Enbridge / L5 etc. Like it is not all over the news.
The silence filled the room. I think we can all move ahead and look for a succesfull outcome on L5. Is it be on schedule? Don't know, it doesn't seem likely. MI senate ruled that in case MI loses in court against ENB, they will have to reimburse the legal fees. In other words, it was nothing short of spit in Gretchen's face.
The press will continue to beat the drum, but yesterday Gretchen did not get the support she was hoping for from the White House.
I was very nervous about May 18, I was not expecting the silence. It's like Biden sent Gretchen in the corner and asked her not to show up unil he left the state.
I am convinced that both L3 and L5 will be built sooner rather than later.
So long water protectors, precious wild rice supporters, .org domain name owners, and professional protesters - it is time to find a new cause.
