Excellon Resources Inc. > why is Exn underperforming?

why is Exn underperforming?

I think it has to do with Cahill's reputation. Anytime this guy makes exaggerated representations that are then not followed, that in turn, hurts Exn SP.   Who in his right mind, will trust a CEO who represented that the NYSE listing will boost Exn appeal, who declared to Exn shareholders that Platosa will be a 4 mill oz producer at AISC of US $9...and so on.

For sure , this guy is not up there on my list of reputable people. How can I put it more diplomatically - Exn performance and share price will only benefit if Cahill disappears for good

I am not so sure Thales , i know some guy`s here are longterm sh and made there exp with EXN. Beside the past i see weakness in the PM overall even with great results its hard to see big moves. I talk about exploration comp. because thats what EXN is , in the best case a self funding exploration comp. and so far they achieve nothing if we talk about Kilgore, Silver City and all the other ...more

But why we have to wait for silver to reach $30 to Exn doubling in price?  Why not tell Exn management that all what the market and shareholders care about are actual results and actual deliveries instead of empty,  good for nothing talks and long presentations that contain concocted trues aka misrepresentations or blatant lies. Why can not Exn management  be held accountable ...more

I see that there have been many problems in the past , i will not jugde that because i am not soo a long sh here but a few things we know for sure imo. Platosa will never become a 4M+ mine and also never at 9$ AISC whatever they thought in the past and now we have to deal with that. Cahill is a promoter at first and its maybe a bit too easy to blame him for all what happend in the past and also ...more

Excellon is no more then a "swing at the fences" Les Vegas exploration company ! IMO The potential to make a worth while discovery that will move the stock price is all there. IMO The problem is it takes money for evploration that Excellon does not have euough of,,, lets hope Silver City creates some new interest and higher share prices ! M2

A lot of understandable pessimism floating around this company. Personally, I think that the Otis deal brought more skilful management to the company and that is why things have improved over the last quarter. By that I mean the management involved in the daily operations.  Looking ahead to 2021 it would not be a suprise to see revenues of ca 65 MUSD and with an AISC of say 16 USD the cash ...more

I agree with that, we must see that they build a new company around Platosa . New teams for Kilgore and Silver City must be build up, all that in corona times. So far they deliverd this year imo i also see future AISC at Platosa around 16$ the painfull thing is that we need time..... nobody likes to wait and if we look at the near term ( Silver and Gold diving to find support) it looks like we ...more

To move exploration along give me $20m in a PP or the next line of BS,, money burn, will dilute the company even more. IMO Funding exploration from cash flow is a pipe dream,, if it can go wrong it will with this company.  I say get those drills working ASAP before cycle is over ! Timing is everything ! M2

There seems to be an acute shortage of assay labs. With Thales backing I think there's some dough to be made... How about an assay lab with a beer hall out front for the "while you wait" crowd. Somewhere in Saxony near a college...

Do not you find the whole idea of bringing assay results from Germany to a Canadian lab insane?  I have never heard about that before. Being invested in several miners with Eropean operations, but cannot recall Dpm, Orv,  Mnd or Maw ever mentioned shipping their drilling probes to Canada. Only wish this is  a once in a lifetime occurence (and convenient way for Brendo to weather ...more

The only explanation I can think of is that BC wants an iron clad assurance in case some of the shareholders around accuse him of assay tempering abroad. Always pretect your legal *** so to speak.
Comment by Bakunin6 on Nov 27, 2020 6:13pm
That is ostensibly why they're doing it.... Now back to the issue at hand, since you're funding the the tavern/assay lab idea you should at least be able to name it...how about " Visible Gold Lagerhall?"
Comment by Thales42 on Nov 28, 2020 12:40pm
Michael, are you suggesting naming a tavern in Freiburg while waiting for the assays?!! Why not start thnking long term and start thinking big.  One day in not so distant future, Silver City project will be what Platosa promised, but did not deliver. Think of the year 2025; Exn has finally hit the jackpot with its proven bonanza silver grade mine in Germany.  The European operation of ...more

Theles You pointed out "" bringing assay results from Germany to a Canadian lab insane?"" Theles, it is my understanding the reason for using Canadian assay labes is to meet extrinsic 43-101 standerds and are testing for every metal know to man kind.   A Geo friend of mine pointed out that they are assaying for other metals, Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladum ...more

Yes, Mariner. I think I posted something similar before. On a second thought, I have hard time to believe that Kinros, Centerra, and Eldorados of the world follow these rules with respect to their foreign operations.  Remember that the 43-101 standard was a response to the BreX scandal that involved contaminated gold samples by the chief geologist of BreX, de Guznam, who parted this ...more
