Q1 Financials

Financials will be out tomorrow. Will we see our first profit since early 2012? (NINE years but who's counting)

Do you think today's steep tumble is a prelude that the release is not so good...actually has been falling quite a lot past 2 weeks.

I was hoping to see a jump from all the Aunts/Uncles etc. of those in the know buying. That didn't happen so I suspect we will see yet another so so report generously springled with excuses.

I have several other silver stocks that lost 5-10% yesterday so I am still hopeful for improved financials today
Comment by OliverZ on May 13, 2021 3:02am
Yep i agree, this time the excuse will be the recent blizzard , brendan didi allready adress that this will have a impact on the Q1 results in some interview at that time. I wonder if we see ever a positve surprise here ?

My take on Q1 Financials now that they are out. Typical Excellon CEO/leadership results; another quarterly loss, administration costs out of control, any profits and then sum given away to anyone but the company's shareholders. It is amazing to me that Excellon's major shareholders have put up with this 'Transfer of Wealth' for so long.  Anyway, it looks ...more

Silver, Brendan got 99.95% approval rating. This is a rating  the North Korean butcher will kill for.  Watch out what you are wishing for in terms of kicking Cahhill out.  Brendan's replacement will most likely be with of the Otis guys on the Exn Board.  If so,  we will be seeing a push to develop Kilgore at all cost  and at the expense of Platosa, Silver City and ...more

Thales. What I wish for is a CEO who focuses on delivering profits. When that's done everything else, including high returns on shareholder's investment, will fall into place.  An example of one is Endeavour Silver Corp's new CEO, who just last week made it very clear how important making a profit is. He mentioned it as one of his primary focuses in the opening paragraph ...more

Silver flirting with 27,50$ and EXN trading at these lvl, i guess some people will jump away from that stock if they ever get a chance. I was close to sell on the friday opening for now i hope for Silver cross 28$ next week . I really must get that stock out of my depot. Again short terme the only hope is on Silver , the rest is something for a believe that this company can reach his goals , not ...more

Nice post, Silver. I concur with your assessment of  Cahill  - terrible CEO and the main reason why Exn is underperforming.  At the same time I also know that people like Dan Dickson at Endeavour are rare.  Personally, I feel more like Oliver as I am looking for the exit as soon as silver price rises.

As it looks like we are the last poor knigths here we should meet for a drink after we sold our stocks with a huge gain ...........any location accepted ;-)

Oliver, I like the idea. I used to travel to Germany before the pandemic. My brother is a lawyer in the great province of Baden-Wurtenberg
Comment by OliverZ on May 16, 2021 6:11pm
I life on one of our famous islands Borkum , but i guess we will find a place ;-)  Baden -Wrtenberg is nice.
Comment by Thales42 on May 16, 2021 6:28pm
Very nice and I heard good stories about North Sea. The closest I have been to Borkum was probably Denmark. Hope you have better returns with your other investments and stocks
Comment by OliverZ on May 16, 2021 6:40pm
Better returns as with EXN ? thats a easy thing to do, yes i am fine, the last 6 months has been a bit tricky in the PM , but it looks like we are out of the wood and it can be that we see a nice summer rally again.
Comment by Thales42 on May 16, 2021 5:34pm
also the difference between Endeavour and Exn, with the former focusing on profitability while the latter focussing on ... well, everything else, is the difference beween investing and speculating. Less than 10 percent of all mining companies will ever be profitable. Exn story is even worse as Exn was profitable at one point. Thanks to Brendan, now it is just a speculative stock
Comment by silverforever on May 13, 2021 8:46am
2012 was the year Excellon's infamous CEO took over the company. Since then Excellon has arguably gone from a lean, profitable, low cost, high grade and promising business  to a high cost, high maintenance 'Not for Profit' organization  wasting Excellon's valuable resources in the process. Is this the turn around the company keeps on talking about and the ...more
