RE:Are You an Investor or a Trader?Thefourth,
I personally think, this is a great move on EXRO's part, one that is initially targeting "large vehicle" fleets that would deploy the 400/800 High output coil driver.
Vehicle OEM's that use the Coil Driver are in a position to offer their customers a fast charging option that is far less complex and expensive than DC fast charging should they wish to go that route.
This becomes a significant point of competitive differentiation for these Vehicle OEMs.
Customers like cost savings and TCO reductions. As this catches on, Fleet owners who may also be in a competitive environment, will increase demand for AC Fast Charging which in turn spurs demand for vehicles built using the EXRO Coil Driver.
And because these features are or will be built in the CD architecture there is no additional cost incurred at EXRO to deliver.
I tend to think of it as a pull demand strategy.
