I'll let somebody else answer that but presumably it is the first patent for the assembly of the cell driver.
It would be better if I could copy and paste the patent application "definition & data base" off the USPTO site but I haven't figured out how to do that.
I will type out this much:
"It is a continuation of Application #17727143 filed April 22, 2022 and Application #63183980 filed May 4, 2021.
The present disclosure generally relates to energy and provision of energy from a storage system and more particularly to a Battery Control System (BCS) including its architecture, operation principles, and controller."
And an excerpt from "The Summary":
"A Battery Control System (BCS) according to one aspect is a portion of a storage system that can control the charging and discharging current of each individual battery cell based on its SoC and SoH. The BCS may be operated to maximize the cells lifetime before it is no longer usable, even second-life battery cells".
I'm not good enough at typing to do more than that at this time.
