Would this work with Hydro Vac trucks?

In previous internal combustion-powered vehicles, the Power Take Off, or PTO, is typically found on the vehicle’s transmission, which for many applications connects to a hydraulic pump to run various systems.

One of the downsides of this arrangement is that the engine must always be running for the PTO to be operable.

While the SEA-Drive® power-system runs the drive system of a vehicle, it also is the brain behind the energy management needs of ancillaries.

Gone are the PTO-powered belts and pumps of the past, in are independent electrically driven systems.

Yes and there is a but. PTO runs a pump that runs the hydraulics that runs the equipment and it doesn't easily turn. They have been playing with hydrogen for this type of application even plug in on site. (crane booms and even vac trucks) but the many batteries you would need would make the vehicle to heavy and not able to run the roads. Stright trucks have limits and even a heavy duty truck

Presumably if "everything" is going electric then somebody must be designing for power take offs from electric motors or will they just add more motors. For example what will they use to lift the hoist in a common dump truck? A separate motor?

Your not understanding. To get through a work day you won't have enough battery power and adding batteries will make the weight to high. These trucks are depended on to run 12hrs a day they can't have downtime. It does work for delivery though in a downtown setting where the truck doesn't draw while parked or stopped in traffic. It shoud get through a 8+ hr day and even fast charge

yes the amount of power to run a hydro vac would be huge to large for battery power

How about two batteries for every vehicle, one in use and one on charge like my DeWalt drill?
