H C Wainright Increases Buy Target to $0.40 U.S.

Heiko F.Ihle CFA,

We reiterate our Buy rating on Fission shares and raise our PT to $0.40 per share from $0.30 per share. Our valuation remains based on a DCF of operations at PLS, to which we now apply a revised 12.0% discount rate, and a long-term uranium price estimate of $35/pound (lb), or about C$48/lb beginning in FY26. Our higher price target is the result of lowering our discount rate to 12.0% from 14.0% based on continued strong uranium prices. We ultimately expect longer-term prices to support the development of PLS. We then add cash and the 32.3Mlbs of Fission's uranium resource at an average value of C$4.50/ lb (prior: $4.00/lb) to account for increases in spot prices. Going forward, we expect management to continue advancing PLS. We reiterate strong uranium spot prices, that have risen in part due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19, which continues to impact global production. Looking ahead, we expect the company to complete a share consolidation, in addition to listing the firm on a major exchange, which could open the company up to a wider demographic of investors.

.40 cent share price target...bahahahahahahahaha!  Well at least this is the most realistic target I've seen but a far cry from the 2.00 some are throwing around.   JMO

Is this guy on drugs???  Where's he getting the 32.3Mlbs....we have over 140Mlbs and counting. He talks about continued strong uranium prices, but bases his calculations on a $35 long term price in 2026. Somebody is I have a weird rashing around with the numbers here. All FCU metrics point to a $1.50 to $2.00 valuation, at the very minimum.
Comment by Greenday on Jul 08, 2020 3:37pm
@ bull_man - Ihle is using very very conservative numbers to arrive at his TP.  (The 32.8 Mlbs is the inferred mineral resource.  No indicated resource included.)  It's just a model though and when one of his input variables reaches his modeled variable than he simply revises his TP higher.

Let me help out here by providing the official announcement for the offtake agreement. It brought $82M to FCU for 20%.  https://www.juniorminingnetwork.com/junior-miner-news/press-releases/510-tsx/fcu/15387-fission-announces-execution-of-subscription-agreement-and-offtake-agreement-with-cgn-mining.html In the May interview from FCU CEO that was posted he discusses the options that he has ...more

I will let the official announcement details speak for itself and I would suggest the same, but I think almost everyone knows how to filter out the noise and comments with no supporting factual information. Otherwise this will be "How long is the string?" conversation and serves no purpose for me. I'm just here on this board for publicly availabe information from official sources ...more

I would love to have answers to many questions, however, I know that the source of truth is not directly on this board. I'm 100% certain I got that one correct.

let's look at it a different way.  To bring FCU to production will conservatively cost 1.5 billion.  Twenty percent of that is 300million.  CGN paid 82 million with a guaranteed offtake at a discount to spot which at that time could be below the cost of production.  In other words this could be a money losing proposition (ask Cameco how a spot price below the cost of ...more
Comment by Greenday on Jul 08, 2020 10:46pm
@ Uranium308 - If the spot price fell to a price below FCU's cost of production - which is very unlikely - then FCU would do what CCO is doing.  Stop producing and buy material in the spot market.

and if FCU stopped production, where would they get the funds to purchase on the spot market to fulfill CGN's offtake commitment?
Comment by Uraniuman308 on Jul 09, 2020 12:40am
and let's take this further because I know the comparison to NXE is coming and some moron will comment on their debt.   NXE can repay their debt and retain 100% of their resource and company.  FCU's deal can never be revoked and will run for the the life of the resource.  Will NXE do an offtake, I am sure they will.  The difference is FCU used the funds from their ...more

Someone will most certainly buy FCU well before Nexgen. Who would even look at them with a $200 million debt and a deposit that is 500m below the surface. They have zero chance of being bought. That's why they are pretending to go it alone. They have no choice.

if any of this is true, how is it no one else is speaking out?  Has Chang given an update on the board findings regarding a smear campaign?  Isn't that his job/responsibility?  In my opinion by issuing a public statement, a follow up is warranted.  As a shareholder I want to know where I stand.  JMO

Uraniuman308, I did not believe we would ever see anyone who lies more than Trump. But you do. Those invisible shares of Fission that you keep saying you own don't count as a shareholder.
