RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Links explaining Country risks in Colombia Maybe another coincidence. I love peacock bass fishing which is great in Venezuela. Yeah I'm quite used to volatility living in these parts but it doesn't affect us much anymore. Especially not my wife's family with a farm near Sincelejos, Colombia where they produce much of what they need, themselves. Pretty self-sufficient people.
I'm retired oil patch, lots of experience drilling offshore Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela, Trinidad, Brazil. I use my experience and Repsol's Jaguar published geological info to guess what CGX is doing. Supposedly the rig had top drive problems on Kawa. If it was because of jarring on stuck BHA then it was probably bearings in the top drive. I can pretty much guess in what formation based on time line and someone mentioned a 15.4 ppg mud weight so that tells me a lot too based on my experience. That's a lot of pore pressure down deep. Probably running temps of over 300 F too. Don't know how you'd test the well without specially desgned HTHP packers and tools. Jaguar hit estimated equivalent mud weights of over 18 ppg dowhole pressures. Unreal! Expensive holes to drill and very challenging.
