Logic has left the building

Logic has left the buildingSo every stock in FFN goes up for a few days in a row, and the share price of the commons actually goes no where, even drops a bit. Today every stock in the fund is down, NOT ONE is up.. and some are down signifiantly... and where does the price of the commons go ? UP.... of course.
Dont take me wrong, i am not complaining since FFN is my biggest holding... but i am afraid i am at a loss to explain the trading.
DF i sold off today, as 16 of the 20 stocks in the fund are down and the UNIT NAV has crept back closer to the 15$ threshhold with a few days of trading until the 15th still.  Only one stock in the top 10 in DF is up, and that one is up very little. No point in waiting until they post that this split fund wont be paying commons to unload. I bought DFN with the proceeds, as its stock price was down today, WITH ALMOST the exact same stocks / weightings.... it is up a penny now,,,
SO DFN even on the day , but DF which may or may not pay depending on the next few days, goes up over 3%... trading at 5.35 with a NAV just below 5$ as i type this.
LOGIC??? i dont see any..
