Vulcan, I honestly don't know if FIRE stock was pushed down then land locked.  I am not sure how anyone can be certain of that.

Ok sure.  I guess you are privy to the detailed inner dealings of numerous very high level market players, and you know their plans, and what trades they executed, and for who, and to what ends, and you know the full extent of exactly what collusion transpired.   With such a powerful microcope into the inner workings of the market you no doubt play the markets like a stradivarius ...more

NO Sam , everyone underwater here just know they got Fu--ed with out vasoline by Fire and Beena , you are defending the deal so you are one of them
Comment by SamRothstein on Apr 11, 2021 1:32pm
To be clear I'm not defending this deal.  I would be happy as the rest of you to get a better deal as I have a six figure position in the warrants.  All I have said is that usually when there is a takeover the premium is in 15% to 50% range.  But if 66% premium is still stealing FIRE then there is chance another player makes better offer. If no other offer materializes that is ...more

Hey Sam. You had stated that you hold warrants on FIRE. How are the warrants handled for this acquisition? I've got a fair amount but not sure what happens if the deal closes to the strike date and price.
Comment by SamRothstein on Apr 11, 2021 12:46pm
Hi Craiger, I will message you about the warrants privately later today or early tomorrow.   A lot of the posters on this board seem more concerned about the way they wish the world was instead of making the best decisions based on the way the world is.   I don't want to upset anyone further with the harsh light of reality so probably won't post here again.    ...more

Nah some of us are just pissed at being sold out and lied to over the last couple of quarters. There is nothing wrong with that btw. As well I would feel a lot better if was anyone but Tweed as well. Tweed is in a desperate spot. They need to start to produce a product that the everyday experienced consumer wants. Not some gen Z who gets pulled into some advertising hype. Your idea of what is best ...more

Excellent post as usual ridingrockets!  thanks for straightening out that imbecile for us.  Just like many others here, I was excited to wait it out for many years to see how supreme would bloom into its beauty.  Im not selling until it converts.

I have noticed that fools are often rude.  I think it is because fools think they know everything.  A wiser person knows that their knowledge is far from complete.  Fools usually can't even recognize when someone knows more than they do because their level of knowledge is so low that they aren't able to even recognize when someone else knows more about a certain topic.   ...more

That may all be true.  I have no idea.  All I know is when you are a publicly traded company,  and your shares are at a low price, then larger companies sometimes try and acquire you and they do it based on current prices.   quote=ridingrockets] Nah some of us are just pissed at being sold out and lied to over the last couple of quarters. Sam exactly the point!! the price was played by Beena with her dilution
Comment by SamRothstein on Apr 11, 2021 1:25pm
Maybe.  I don't know.
Comment by 541house on Apr 11, 2021 1:30pm
Sam im sure we can agree these deals dont happen over night so she was doing diluting money raises at the same time she was negotiating with weed
Comment by SamRothstein on Apr 11, 2021 1:36pm
I understand that is what you think happened.   I don't know what exactly happened when. An alternative reality is that FIRE needed to raise cash and that is why they sold shares and warrants.
Comment by 541house on Apr 11, 2021 1:43pm
Sam please, why increase share count if you are being sold, we would be at a higher share price if we didnt raise money and deal would of been better for share holders IMO. I dont know more than you I will agree with you on that. I made money on this deal btw so I dont care as much as others.
Comment by SamRothstein on Apr 11, 2021 1:53pm
Maybe they were not planning on being sold when they raised the money.  Or maybe they knew they would be more attractive target if they did raise the funds first.   Or maybe it was a bit of both.  I don't know.   But one thing I am quite certain of is that the courts are not going to find anything amiss with this deal.
Comment by Craiger02 on Apr 11, 2021 2:00pm
i wouldn't be surprised if that was an "understood" condition of the deal being put together, is that they wanted a strong cash balance and open atm shares. Canopy has cash but their burn rate is off the charts. If fire does a raise while they're sp is hot (the last two), it drops the share price with dilution and also gives canopy cash in the acquisition, therefore saving them ...more

Not to play devils advocate....      What are the odds the board in late Dec. decided their best path forward was to position themselves for an aquisition? The first raise, January 19?, would have started a few weeks before it was announced. Im only saying this as there could be more issues behind the scene than what we are aware of. The first that comes to mind and really ...more
