With all the announcements from every auto maker, I think these are 2 scenarios we could see . 1. They will outsource more battery/tech allowing them to focus on the vehicle builds themselves while there are more and more strictly battery producers able to make various batteries from whatever the end user needs are. 2. Car manufacturers will go about different battery technologies, from whatever material/mine they can get their hands on- which will create battery material competition. (Ours won't explode in accidents, ours is recyclable, ours weighs less, etc.)
