WELL THIS MAY BE THE START...  FFN next?

FFN had their consolidation last year in December. But the results were somewhat different with dividends going from $0.10 to $0.11335.

I expect very good things from FFN in a couple of months time.

Very optimistic view John, considering the run the lifecos and banks have had just lately.
With such a big monthly payout, i doubt we will see very many distribution to commons in the next year , but you could indeed see some capital gains if it gets close to 15$ threshhold.  FFN also raised the distributions to preferreds by 25% as of  JUNE 1, 2020.... so now the payout every month is that much bigger , if it ever gets above 15$.... 17 cents every month? Not sustainable in a depressed  economy with the highest unemployment rates and business bankruptcies we have seen since the great depression. OH and COVID raging across North America harder than ever.
Hopeful vaccines caused a huge jump in many stocks, but the froth is going to get taken off .
