Crowded?

Crowded?

I noticed one car dealer with their own loyalty prograsm plus Aeroplan. Aeroplan rarely gets mentioned. Can two loyalty programs compete with one another at the same dealership? This in addition to the regular discount specials offered throughout the year.

I noticed the same with Mercedes Benz dealerships. They have their own loyalty program. So of what value would Aeroplan be to them?  Management in their court filings place the blame on the economy.... that sales were not as expected with the car dealerships. But what are the other reasons or maybe the key reason?
