Douglas Goodfellow and Stephen Jarislowski, who own over 6 million of the 8.5 million shares in GDL are now 96 and 97 respectively.  You wonder what will happen to these large blocks of shares when they pass on.  

I'm not sure what hapenned in the past with Patrick Goodfellow, the current CEO, but he was brought in after the outside CEO messed up the ERP implementation and caused the issues last decade.  So not sure if he wants this job as a longh term career or was just brought in to fix things and them move on.

Either way, there are some family decisions which have to be made and lots of value here which could be uncovered.  Ideally they would explore strategic alternatives and see the company for over book value.
