Tax loss selling?

Volumes were fairly low for GENM in September / October when people were waiting for news on the permits. Many other stocks were sold at that time for tax losses but with GENM under-valued and the expectation that the permits would be granted we may be getting tax loss selling now.

What ever it is that is driving the price down ????? Doesn't make sense, 80 cents now ????? I said it before based on all the facts of on this future mine this should be trading north of 2bucks easy. This is not brex!!!!

Markets don't always make sense - if it's not tax loss selling today then I don't know why it's not in the 90's or over a dollar.

If Jamie is buying that would rule out some major development in the wings. A lot of the selling is coming from RBC and looks like a big holder getting out or maybe a broker with a lot of clients in GENM telling them to sell. Only tax loss selling makes sense to me but, as always, I may be wrong.

Market doesn't seem to like MOZ's feasibility report either

December is always bad for tax selling. I'm sure that's a lot of it. It's just hard to understand why anybody would sell when the 1st qtr is so near!

By getting out now they can save taxes and - they hope - buy back by early January without triggering the 30 day rule.

Rainyday, I'm almost hoping our NEWS comes out early next week and they have to buy back about  $1.40  I think that would be fitting!

I hear you bargnhillbilly. I'm not a fan of playing tax games with penny stocks for precisely the possibility you've identified. Tax loss selling is safer with senior stocks where strategies like sell the stock and buy a call option can save taxes without risking losing one's position.

Rsi was at 84. This is a healthy retracement. Now it's sitting around 59. Can't go up in a straight line.  gotta see the latest capex numbers and final financing package. I'm wondering if management is waiting a little while to see what the EDC may decide.

Levy was buying at over a dollar I think a year ago and for .77 almost 2 years ago.  He bought at .86 in Apr 2021.

Any financial advisor with half a brain would advise against using GENM stock for Tax Loss Selling. If someone steps in and buys the Mine within the next year you don't want to be caught with your huge profits being short term capital gains. At least not in the USA., I don't actually know Canada's accounting and tax rules. If I'm going to make 5 to 20 times my investment I want my ...more
